Thank you for choosing to have a Story Time Felts home party!  You and your guests can look forward to a fun and informative event.  Whether this is your first party or your 101st, I will work with you to assure that it will be a rewarding one.  Just follow this easy checklist, and you are well on your way to earning loads of FREE felt and discount hostess rewards!

  Write the date and time in your calendar. 

I have reserved this day and time especially for you!  I know your time is very valuable to you, as is mine to me, so, if for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule this event, please give me a minimum of 7 days notice, and I will do the same!  I will arrive about 20 minutes prior to your party to set up a few display items.

  Plan for success by taking the "10-5-1" Hostess Challenge. 

Have at least 10 adult guests at your party, 5 outside orders, and 1 prearranged booking and you will receive an additional free gift from me at the close of your party!!  I will explain each of these criteria more as we go, and completing this checklist will guarantee that your prize is in the bag!!

  Choose whom you'll invite. 

The Story Time Felts products really need to be seen and touched for people to really get a feel for their exceptional quality.  Remember what fun it was when you first touched the felt?  Why not share that experience with as many friends as possible?  Think of people from many different groups and all walks of life.  Here is a short list of suggestions to help you brainstorm.  Write down any names that come to mind - don't worry about whether or not they will come - just write it down, invite them, and let them choose for themselves!  Remember, to have at least 10 adults guests at your party, you will need to invite 25 - 30 people. You can invite: friends, home schoolers, parents, crossing guards, school teachers, bus drivers, relatives, former teachers, day care providers, grandparents, neighbors, children's friend's parents, college students, new moms, beauticians, PTA members, club members, preschool teachers, Sunday School teachers, friends from church, scout leaders, coaches, co-workers, or librarians.  As I said, these are just a few .  You can invite anyone at all who has a child in their life - and that is just about everyone!!

  Fill out and send your invitations.  (Or let me do it for you!!!)

Invitations can be done one of two ways:  If you prefer to do your own invitations, I will provide some for you that you can fill out and either mail or hand deliver.  If you would prefer that I take care of the invitations, which I am happy to do, you can just give me your list!  Just Submit Your Guest List here on the website, and I will take it from there!

  Get 5 outside orders.

It is really impossible to schedule a day for your party when everyone can attend.  Share your excitement about the Story Time Felts products with your local friends and family who aren't able to come and invite them to place an order.  I've included several catalogs in your hostess kit, along with a special Outside Order Form for your convenience in collecting these orders.  Just follow the instructions for calculating sales tax and shipping. 

  Choose an Online Party Date.

I love to work with all my hostesses online, as well.  When you confirm the date of your party, I will also give you a "party day" on my website.  That means that you can invite friends and family (even those who don't live near you) to order on the website and not only will all those orders count towards your party total, but so will all of the unsolicitied orders I receive that day!  I average anywhere from $30 to $300 or more in orders every day.  That will go a long way towards boosting your totals and getting you even more rewards!  Plus, these orders count toward the "5 Outside Orders" criteria for the Hostess Challenge. Just contact me with your chosen day on the Felt Board Stories Calendar (choose any day when there is not a hostess already listed!)  I recommend choosing the day after your home party if it is available.

  Get 1 Prearranged Booking.

Take a look at your guest list.  I'll bet you can spot at least one person right away who will love the Story Time Felts products and would like to get some for FREE!  Invite her to pre-arrange her party date.  You'll receive a $15 Booking Certificate to be redeemed at her party!  Contact Me with her information, and I will get her hostess pack to her ASAP.

  Plan the logisics of your party.

Will you have refreshments?  I don't suggest anything elaborate!  If you choose to offer treats, make it something easy like cookies and punch - brownies are always a big hit - but don't outdo yourself ! 

Will you invite guests to bring children?  If several of your guests need to bring their children, we will have a story time to begin our party!  Of course, Story Time Felts is all about children!  However, your guests will need to be able to participate in the fun activities without too much distraction, so, if children attend, it is recommended that you have a room to which they can go and play after the story time.  Some hostesses like to get a babysitter or an older sibling who can be with the children to maintain safety and keep the peace.

Where will your guests meet?  You can arrange seating in any way that you are comfortable!  I need very little room for my display and am very flexible in my presentation arrangement.
